"First off, as is the case with most Dell notebooks, design matters. Despite its all-black industrial design, the Latitude E5400's looks aren't lackluster. With a metallic hinge and latch system, Dell has improved stability and security of the notebook, and the chassis is rock solid as well. The 14.1-inch matte screen (max resolution 1280x800), encased in a lid with smooth metallic finish, is average at best.

"Dell has recently revamped their Latitude line of business laptops, releasing them under the "E-Series" name. Here we take a look at the portable productivity targeted laptop, the Latitude E5400. We’re trying to find out if this is going to be the computer that your company buys to deploy to the grunts such as yourself."

"Dell introduced the LatitudeTM E5400 model as “Designed to help simplify IT by reducing cost, deployment time and maintenance”, this word is very much perfect for this product. It is well, inspired and smart in design. It is ideal for then who wants good quality product but budget conscious. For its 14” screen size make it is comfortable to carry. Battery backup is also good not best. I am not comparing it with Dell XPS or Latitude E6400 model. This model is very good of professional but no enough for stylish once. To get the best performance you must select either Core 2 Duo or Centriano processor with at least 2 GB RAM but 4GB is best for Vista OS.
The front cover with black aluminum make it very cool and protect the lcd from light shock. The speaker is covered with plastic material is good rather than ironic material because of anti-rust. 4 USB port option is enough rather than any ps2 port because it is no more required or converter is available. Booting time is very shorter means quick boot. Keyboard layout is very much easier for working. Material is much durable for a long time use.
I think it is absolute perfect for my It profession.

"Everything! This is the best choice possible considering the power, size, speed, and value. Too much praise? Not here... I had picked the E5500 first and returned it. It was just too big and heavy. The E5400 is perfect, light, and powerful. Too many options to mention, but VISTA rocks! I like many were reluctant to give it a try, but again I highly recommend it. The features are rich and I have NO problems to report at all. You are going to love the speed and power of this laptop!

"This laptop is a good replacement or upgrade from the D430. It is much faster than that model. It handles all our apps with ease. We like the new utilites from dell to manage it settings.
