4. As Blu-Ray is a new format containing new technologies, certain disc, digital connection, compatibility and/or performance issues may arise, and do not constitute defects in product. Flawless playback on all systems not guaranteed. In order for some Blu-ray titles to play, they may require a DVI or HDMI digital connection and your display may require HDCP support. This Blu-ray drive does not support writing to ultra-high speed CDRW media (16X to 32X advertised performance). HD-DVD movies cannot be played on this notebook PC.
5. ATSC high-definition (HD) and NTSC source content varies and depends on broadcast signal, antenna, geographic location, other factors. External over-the-air antenna that receives UHF and VHF signals is required for ATSC reception. Viewing HD content requires compatible high-def display. "The Pavilion dv4t is a series of 14.1" notebook computers from Hewlett Packard. The processors available are Intel Core 2 Duo chips, ranging from 2 to 2.8 GHz. The display comes standard 14.1" LCD widescreen, and includes options for the Infinity model, which stretches the display glass to the edge of the computer, and the option for LED display instead of LCD."

"I bought dv4-1028us model because of its outstanding Bus Speed, Graphic Memory, Weight and Battery Life. SATA and HDMI ports are good features but when I test the HDMI port with HDTV, there is a sound problem. High frequency noise at the background. I tested all differnet frequency, different cable but still there. Brought back to the store and tested with expensive cable and different HDTV but it didn't help. Exchanged with another one but same problem"

"Before buying this unit, I read a lot of reviews on this site and other sites for HP laptops. The first thing that I have to say is that the American Consumer has become spoiled in their quest for the perfect tech gadget. I have owned HP products for over 16 years from printers to computers. During that same period, I have owned various brands of printers and computer. Through the years I have found that you will not find the perfect machine, but performance for the dollar is what you are going to get with this laptop. Comparing this to other brands, this notebook for the price is sleek, fairly light and big on performance. Of course there are things I would change, but minor when you use other brands within the same price range. A few suggestions I would have is, make sure that you get enough memory (3 gigs or more), as much processor as you can afford. This combo will have you smiling. When it comes to the graphics, I would go with the unit that has the Intel graphics chip or the Nivida. The ATI rates poorly on the performance score for vista. I think it is a 3.1 and the chips I mentioned are a 3.8. The good news is, it will not be long before laptops come standard with separate cards installed. This laptop is going to run hot on your lap, but most new ones will because these mobile chips are more powerful than ever. Even though they are more efficient that their cousins in desktop, they are still running big boy functions like playing games, DVD-burning, music conversion and video editing. If you have the option, I would upgrade the battery. Today you cannot get enough juice and buying an upgrade independently would cost over $100 for the HP brand. As far as service from HP, I would give that 5 stars. I ordered one custom build notebook and then decided on another. I called customer service and wanted to switch the ordered. Customer service called the factory, stopped the order and sold me the unit I wanted. That type of service is very rare in this industry these days. For 6 bills, you may find a laptop equivalent, but I doubt you will find one better"
